Unitholders in Franklin Templeton to receive another payment of Rs 983 cr

NEW DELHI: SBI Funds Management will distribute the next tranche of Rs 983.81 crore to unitholders across all six closed schemes, according to investment firm Franklin Templeton. The payment will begin on Tuesday, December 14.

"As recommended by the court appointed liquidator (SBI Mutual Fund), payment to all investors whose accounts are KYC compliant with all details accessible will begin on December 14, 2021," according to a Franklin Templeton spokeswoman. So far, a total of Rs 25,114.39 crore has been paid out.

It stated that with the Rs 983 crore distribution, the schemes' total return would increase to Rs 26,098.19 crore, or 103.50 percent of its AUM as of April 23, 2020.

The Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund (MF) distributed another tranche of Rs 1,115.55 crore to the six closed debt funds' investors last month.
