Lucknow: Colleges and universities of Uttar Pradesh are going to open from today. The UP government had decided this in the past, so today a spokesperson of the UP government said that the Corona guidelines will be strictly followed in colleges and universities. He said, "Social distance will be followed during classes, only those students whose body temperature will be normal during thermal scanning, there will be other arrangements including hand sanitizers in the class."
Simultaneously, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education, Monica Garg has said that this time a detailed order has been issued to all private and government universities, district judges and registrars of the state and classes will be conducted phase-wise in colleges. Apart from this, instructions have been given to students, teachers and staff to wear identity cards compulsorily. Colleges and universities have been told by the government that "they should prepare an academic calendar so that classes can be conducted with 50 per cent students".
It has been said to the Vice-Chancellor and Principals that, 'SOP (Standing Operating Procedure) should be followed to run the institutions. Use of face mask will be mandatory for everyone. According to the UGC guidelines, students and staff have been told to avoid going to the contention zone.
