Unknown man attempts to enter Parliament by calling himself MP, arrested

New Delhi: A person has been caught trying to enter Parliament House in the capital Delhi on Monday. Security personnel gave this information to the police and handed over this person to Delhi Police. Parliament is in session right now. There was a stir among security personnel as soon as this person entered the Parliament premises. This person, the resident of Janakpuri, told the police during interrogation that he had come to the library of Parliament to take the book of the Constitution. The accused were jointly interrogated by the Intelligence Department and security agencies, including the Special Cell of Delhi Police, in Parliament Street police station.

According to sources, the mental condition of the accused was not well. After interrogation, the accused was handed over to the family late at night. New Delhi District DCP, Dr. Ish Singhal said that the accused has been identified as Varun Mathur (39), resident of Ganesh Nagar, Janakpuri. Varun reached the library gate at around 4 pm on Monday evening and tried to enter Parliament.

When questioned by the security personnel posted at the gate, the accused called himself MP. After questioning, he told himself as the former MP. When the security staff of Parliament got suspicious, they informed the police. The local police station including the Special Cell of Intelligence Department, IB, and Delhi Police were jointly interrogated by the accused Varun at Parliament Street police station, calling relatives and handed him over to them.
