According to the Gautam Buddha Municipal Administration, despite the approval of the Center to open inter-state boundaries for traffic, the Noida-Delhi border will remain closed for people to and from the national capital. Noida district administration issued guidelines for lockdown 5.0 and said that this decision has been taken based on those reports.

In the last 20 days, 42 percent of coronavirus cases found in the district have been tracked in Delhi. "Therefore, it has been decided in the public interest that the status quo will be maintained with respect to the state border," the statement said. Apart from the essential services and passes issued by the District Magistrate, the Delhi-Noida border is sealed from April 21. However, the good news is that people in essential services will no longer need a pass to move between borders.

Earlier on Sunday, the Uttar Pradesh government allowed interstate travel, but left it to the district administration of Ghaziabad and Noida to decide on the movement of people adjacent to New Delhi. Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary RK Tiwari told PTI, "There is no restriction on the movement of persons or goods inside and outside the state." But at the same time, the order said that Delhi's Containment Areas have NCR areas. There will be a ban on movement of people in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad. If your house falls under any of the Containment Zone identified by the Authority, then all non-essential movement will remain restricted.
