Dehradun: Education Minister Arvind Pandey said that any decision on the opening of schools will be taken after the discussion with school management and parents. The education minister has ordered all collectors to send feedback in a week. The collectors will give feedback on the status of corona in their cities, management committees of schools, and the opinion of parents.

The Education Minister informed that after the feedback received from the cities, a decision will be taken in the cabinet as per requirement in consultation with the health department. If there is an opinion about opening of schools, it will be proposed to open schools in three phases. In the first phase, all classes are proposed to be included from Class 09 to 12, classes 06 to 12 in the second phase. All protocols required for corona will be followed in all schools.

On the other hand, the state has set a new record on Wednesday. For the first time, 20 patients succumbed to the virus in 24 hours in the state. While 1005 more people have been found infected, the figure of new patients has reached more than one thousand after seven days. The figure of people affected by the infection in the state has reached 49 thousand so far. According to a report released by the health department, 20 corona infected patients have died in the state in the last 24 hours.
