New Delhi: The R1250 GS, BMW Motorrad's incredibly popular adventure tourer, has undergone extensive testing in its most recent variant.
The upcoming model is likely to be called the R1300 GS due to the anticipated increase in displacement. A new set of spy pictures have revealed additional details about the bike, which is already in the news.
A closer examination of the new images shows that liquid cooling will replace the current air-cooling setup in addition to increasing displacement.

Additionally, the larger engine will produce more power and torque than the current model, although the exact increase in those numbers is still unknown. The current generation model of the motorcycle produces 134.1 Bhp and 143 Nm of torque.
There seems to have been another significant change in the chassis department, and now it's made of cast aluminum, like the swingarm, sub-frame, and a few other parts.
This will undoubtedly make the motorcycle feel lighter and more nimble. Additionally, the feature set of the R1300 GS could be longer than that of the 1250 as things like blind-spot detection, cornering lights and radar-based cruise control are expected to be included.

The camouflage on the test mule makes it difficult to determine what changes have been made to the updated design. A sportier and more aggressive fascia, however, is likely to replace the asymmetrical front end.
