Lucknow: Voting for the fifth phase in the country's largest state UP is taking place today. Strict security arrangements have been made. Polling is being held today for 61 assembly seats spread over 12 cities, including Amethi and Ayodhya. Among the big faces whose fate is at stake in this phase is the fate of Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government Keshav Prasad Maurya, Minister in Yogi Government Moti Singh, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Siddharth Nath Singh, Ramapati Shastri, Chandrika Prasad Upadhyay. The fate of Congress' Aradhana Mishra Mona and Jansatta Dal president Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, as well as Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) president Krishna Patel, is to be decided.

Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has said that Aaditya Thackeray had gone to Uttar Pradesh. I think change is going to come in Uttar Pradesh. People have made up their minds. "The atmosphere that we have seen in Uttar Pradesh is a clash of thorns. The support being received by Akhilesh Yadav is showing signs of change.'' 

SP has accused Raja Bhaiya's party Jansatta Dal of bogus voting in several booths of the Kunda assembly constituency. The Samajwadi Party has also complained to the Election Commission about it. Samajwadi Party has alleged that in booth number 156, 157, 158-gram sabha Binti of Kunda Assembly-246 of Pratapgarh district, Jansatta Dal workers are conducting fake votes and threatening voters. The Election Commission and the district administration should take immediate cognizance.
