Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government (UP Government) has recently been briefed about a great scheme. In fact, the name of this scheme is 'Bhagya Laxmi Yojana' (Bhagya Lakshmi Yojana). The scheme provides financial assistance to parents on the birth of a daughter. Let us tell all of you that the State Government has launched this scheme to check female foeticide and sex ratio. Today, we are going to tell you how you can take advantage of it and what are the conditions for availing of the benefits of this scheme?

50,000/- is given on the birth of a daughter. After 21 years, the bond matures to Rs 2 lakh. The scheme is said to provide assistance of 3,000 rupees to the girl child on her way to Class VI. 5,000/- is provided on going to Class VIII. After that, when the child goes to class 10, assistance of 7,000 rupees is given. 8,000/- is credited to the child's account when she goes to class XII.

Here are the conditions for availing the benefits of the scheme- Also tell all of you that daughters born after 2006 will get the benefit. Under the information received, it is mandatory to register berths at Anganwadi centres within one month of the birth of the daughter. It is mandatory to have education in a government school. At the same time, it is reported that government employees will not get the benefit of this scheme. Under this scheme, the daughter should not be married before 18 years and the family income should not exceed Rs 2 lakh per annum.
