Prayagraj: Makar Sankranti is eagerly awaited in other states including Uttar Pradesh. The festival is celebrated on 14th January every year and is going to be celebrated tomorrow this year. The joy of this festival is seen at Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur. In fact, there is a tradition of khichdi for the whole month on Makar Sankranti. This tradition is very old here and the preparations for the decoration of the temple begin every year before Makar Sankranti arrives. This year also it happened. Cm Yogi Adityanath reached Gorakhpur last Tuesday to take stock of all preparations.

In the meantime, he first worshipped Baba Gorakhnath's temple and then took the blessings of his guru Brahlene Mahant Awaidyanath. Finally, he held a meeting with the organizers of the temple as well as the officers and the police administration. In the meeting, he briefed about the arrangements for organizing the Mela at the temple from the coming Thursday. He gave a very strict order to all the officers and said, "The people who come to the Mela and the devotees who are offering khichdi in the temple should have some kind of trouble. Take special care of it. '
