Ayodhya: Just a day after hosting the splendid Diwali celebrations in Ayodhya, where South Korean First Lady Kim Jung-sook was Chief Guest, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi made a big announcement on Wednesday, asserting that a majestic statue dedicated to Lord Ram will be constructed in Ayodhya. He added that deliberations regarding the construction of the grand statue were in the last phase.

He was addressing reporters after meeting seers in Ayodhya on occasion of Diwali. CM Adityanath stated that an immense Ram Statue will be built in the city which will become a sign of Ayodhya’s identity. The chief minister stated that two sites had been shortlisted for the development of Ram Murti.

In the midst of speculations that seers and saints were sadden with the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government in the state and the Centre after the Supreme Court delayed the hearing in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land clash case to January 2019, Adityanath met a few seers today. After the meeting, the chief minister stated, “All seers and saints were with me.”

He also gave his word that a “solution” to Ram Mandir will also soon be finalized, saying, “Ram Mandir is, was and will be in Ayodhya”. UP CM added that the solution to Ram Mandir issue would be brought under the domain of Constitution.
