Lucknow: The Cabinet of the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh expanded. 18 new Ministers have been appointed in this expansion. The swearing-in ceremony was held at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. A total of 23 MLAs took oath as Ministers. Five ministers have received promotion. Six cabinets, six independent charges, and 11 state ministers took the oath during the period. All the new ministers were sworn in by Governor Anandiben Patel. After taking the oath, the Chief Minister and the Governor gave flowers and welcomed the new ministers to the Cabinet.

Cabinet Minister: Dr. Singh as Cabinet Minister Mahendra Singh, Suresh Rana, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Anil Rajbhar, Ram Naresh Agnihotri and Kamla Rani took the oath.

Minister of State for Independent Charge: The oath takers include Neelkanth Tiwari, Kapil Dev Agarwal, Satish Dwivedi, Ashok Kataria, Sriram Chauhan, and Ravindra Jaiswal.

Anil Sharma, Mahesh Gupta, Anand Swarup Shukla, Vijay Kashyap, Giriraj Singh Dharmesh, Lakhan Singh Rajput, Neelima Katiyar, Chaudhary Udaibhan Singh, Chandraika Prasad Upadhyay, Ramashankar Singh Patel and Ajit Singh Pal took oath as Minister of State.

Earlier, five ministers had resigned from their posts.  The ministers include Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal, Irrigation Minister Dharampal Singh, Minister of State for Basic Education Anupama Jaiswal and Minister of State for Earth and Miners Archana Pandey. Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Independent Dev Singh had already resigned as minister as the state BJP president.
