The overall COVID-19 situation is stabilizing now in the nation. The central government will work towards ensuring further improvement, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday. Many of parts have extended COVID-19 restrictions.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath amid the surge of cases in state has scheduled a visit to some parts to review the COVID-19 situation. In the view of rising COVID-19 infections in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday decided to extend the partial corona curfew in the state till May 24. The decision was taken a day after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister held a virtual meeting with top officials. Currently, the situation of rising cases is falling down but the death toll continues to raise the concern. Amid all this COVID crisis, Cyclone Tauktae has intensified into a ‘very severe cyclonic storm’ said India Meteorological Department. The cyclonic storm Tauktae is expected to reach the Gujarat coast by May 18.

In the meantime, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to visit Meerut, Ghaziabad and Noida to review the COVID-19 situation in the areas.
