UP Diwas: CM dedicates 2018 to youth's progress

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Jan 27 (NT): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared on Friday that the upcoming fiscal year would be dedicated to the youth, to boost employment as well as to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in the state.

"This year was dedicated to the progress of our farmers, but we will dedicate the upcoming fiscal year to the youth of our state", Adityanath said at the closing ceremony of UP Diwas at Avadh Shilpgram here.

For this purpose, the state government is forming a corpus fund to provide a platform to the youth for innovation as well as making provisions with the central government for encouraging start-ups and making arrangement in the national schemes for the youth who want to venture into entrepreneurship.

CM Adityanath said the government sector is coming up with five lakh jobs.

"UP alone has 12 crore youngsters and to connect them with the state's development as well as in the nation-building process, our Information department has begun with weekly 'E-Sandesh'," CM Adityanath further said.

Through the E-Sandesh programme, the government seeks to communicate the schemes and activities of government to the public of Uttar Pradesh.

The three-day UP Diwas celebration, commencing January 23 foundation day of the state and has concluded on Friday. (NT)
