Lucknow: Amid speculation that Aparna Yadav, the younger daughter-in-law of social activist and Samajwadi Party patron Mulayam Singh Yadav, is joining BJP, Shivpal Singh Yadav has opined that Aparna should remain in the Samajwadi Party now. They should work for the party and then expect tickets.
Aparna is expected to join BJP for the past several days. She contested from Lucknow Cantt seat on Samajwadi party ticket in 2017 but did not win. Since then, there have been talks of her going to the BJP from time to time, but many times she has denied herself. Shivpal Singh Yadav has advised her to stay in the Samajwadi Party and work in the party.
Shivpal Singh Yadav also made it clear that he would field his candidate on the SP symbol. There will be no separate symbol of their candidates. He said the Samajwadi Party government will be formed in 2022 and Akhilesh Yadav will be the CM of the state. Shivpal has already said that we have given our list to Akhilesh. It has also been asked to conduct a survey at your level. All the winning candidates should be fielded. They are working on our list. If it is completely leisurely, we will both hold a meeting and decide. There is no doubt anywhere now.
