Lucknow: PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Major Dhyan Chand Khel University in Meerut today ahead of notification for assembly elections in up, the country's largest state. Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Sports University at Salwa in Sardhana and thereafter address a big rally. According to reports, Prime Minister Modi will also pay homage to the immortal martyrs of 1857 at Aughadnath Temple and Shaheed Madak before laying the foundation stone.
Prime Minister Modi has made several visits to the state for the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh and has inaugurated several schemes and laid the foundation stone of several schemes. Prime Minister Modi will visit western UP today and lay the foundation stone of Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut. According to a programme released by the PMO, Modi will land at the Army helipad in Meerut at 10:45 am and from here he will reach the Aughadnath temple and offer prayers.
Thereafter, Prime Minister Modi will reach the Martyrs' Memorial and pay homage to the martyrs at Amar Jawan Jyoti and inspect the Freedom Struggle Museum here. From here, Prime Minister Modi will reach the Army helipad and reach Khatoli helipad by helicopter and reach Salwa to lay the foundation stone of Major Dhyan Chand Khel University. Prime Minister Modi will address a public meeting here and leave at 2.30 pm.
