Lucknow: BSP supremo Mayawati has convened a meeting of party functionaries after the announcement of Uttar Pradesh elections, the country's largest state, in which she will make a decision on the candidates. He said, "I have convened a meeting of special party men to select the final of the candidates at the Lucknow State office. The Election Commission, while holding a press conference, said that up will go to polls in 7 phases. Polling will be held from February 10 to March 7. The results of the UP assembly elections will be released on March 10. According to the Election Commission, Uttar Pradesh will go to the polls in the first phase on February 10.

Thereafter, the second phase on February 14, the third phase on February 20, the fourth on February 23, the fifth on February 27, the sixth on March 3 and the seventh phase on March 7. The Election Commission said in a press conference on Saturday that due to the increasing cases of Corona, there will be a complete ban on-road travel, marching, bike rally, cycle journey and physical rally till January 15.
