Lucknow: BSP supremo Mayawati has issued her statement after six BSP MLAs joined the SP. She has said that these leaders, greedy for power, are well known to the people. This is not going to benefit the SP but it is going to be a loss. In a tweet, she said that with the Uttar Pradesh Assembly general elections approaching, there is now a round of defections coming and going from this party to that party, but it will not increase the mass base of any party but it is going to hurt them. So, the people of BSP keep such rainy frogs away from the party.

In another tweet, she said that not only defections but also the names of many similar parties like rain frogs are not being revealed to the public whose names have not been seen and heard so far. Such a game of power is very well known to the people and it is not going to affect them. Change is unwavering.

Among the BSP MLAs who joined the SP are Sidhauli MLA Hargobind Bhargava of Sitapur, Aslam Raini of Shravasti, Sushma Patel of Jaunpur, Aslam Ali of Ghaziabad, Hakim Lal Bind of Prayagraj and Haji Mujtaba Siddiqui. All of them rebelled against BSP three months ago and rebel BJP MLA Rakesh Rathore met the SP President a month ago.
