Lucknow: Ahead of the proposed assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav has met Dr Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas, father of Delhi riot accused Omar Khalid. Since then, the political mercury has gone up in the state. At the meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath attacked Akhilesh Yadav and said opposition parties can go to any extent for politics. Now K Abbu, who chants 'Bharat Tere Tukde Hoge,' has met him.

Abu Ilyas of Umar Khalid, accused of raising anti-national slogans and Delhi riots, is no less. He has also been a member of the Islamic Movement of India.
