Ayodhya: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is pushing hard to regain power in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP has now chalked out a new strategy to sharpen the Hindutva issue after senior OBC leaders resigned from the party in the state. The way the party fielded PM Modi from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in 2014 made a clean sweep in UP. Now cm Yogi Adityanath is all set to contest the Ayodhya assembly seat on the same lines. The question arises whether Yogi Ramnagari will be able to do political wonders in UP like Modi by fighting Ayodhya.
The BJP high command is busy brainstorming over the UP election ticket in Delhi. There was also talk about Yogi Adityanath contesting from Ayodhya seat. The BJP is said to want to sharpen the Hindutva strategy in the state by removing Yogi Adityanath from Ayodhya. Ayodhya has been very important on the agenda of the BJP and RSS from the beginning and the chief minister's election from here could bring great political gains to the party.
Tell us that the construction of ram mandir in Ayodhya, the city of Shriram, is going on on a war footing. Yogi Adityanath has been visiting Ayodhya continuously since becoming chief minister. CM Yogi has visited Awadhpuri 42 times in the last five years. During this period, he has also given many development opportunities to Ayodhya. Tell us that Ayodhya has 93 per cent Hindu voters and only 6 per cent muslims. Ayodhya falls in the Awadh region of UP and has 82 assembly seats. Yogi Adityanath's influence on contesting from Ayodhya can be seen not only on the Awadh region but also on the political equation of Purvanchal.
