Lucknow: The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has transferred six IPS officers of the state. Upendra Agarwal's name is among the officers transferred by the state government. Who is the Chief of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted for the violence at Tikunia in Lakhimpur Kheri. That's where no one else has made SIT chief yet.

In view of the election year in the state, transfers have started in the state and in view of this, the Yogi Adityanath government in the state has transferred 6 IPS officers. The Home Department has also released the transfer list. The important thing in the transfer list is that Upendra Agarwal, chief of the Lakhimpur violence investigation team, has also been named and has been made a DIG of Devipatan range. The state government has made Dr Sanjeev Gupta a law and order IG in Lucknow. According to reports, the state government has appointed Sanjeev Gupta, a 1999 batch IPS and currently IG of Ayodhya range, as IG law and order post.

While Basti area IG Anil Kumar Rai has been posted in IG PAC Central Zone Lucknow. That's where Modak RD Rao has been made the IG of the township. He was earlier posted as law and order IG Prayagraj. According to the transfer list of the state government, Rakesh Singh has been made IG from IG Devipatan range to Prayagraj. While DIG Upendra Agarwal, head of the SIT set up for Lakhimpur violence, has been appointed as the DIG of Devi Patan Mandal.
