Mining Scam: Akhilesh's Difficulties May Rise, Bulandshahr DM's House faces Raid of CBI

Bulandshahr: The much-discussed mining scam in Uttar Pradesh was raided by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday. The raids were carried out at the residence of Bulandshahr District Magistrate (DM) Abhay Kumar Singh. Abhay Kumar Singh was also on the radar in the mining scam case and now a major action has been taken by the CBI.

For information, the matter was when the Samajwadi Party government was in power in the state and Akhilesh Yadav used to be the chief minister of the state. The case of illegal mining is reported between 2012 and 2016 and was currently in the Samajwadi Party government in the state. The mining ministry was then entrusted with the task of chief minister Akhilesh Yadav himself and is constantly being questioned. Abhay Singh, District Magistrate (DM) of Bulandshahar, has been the DM of Fatehpur from September 2013 to June 2014.

A large number of notes have also been recovered during the raids at DM residence today and a note counting machine has also been called for by the CBI team. Sources say that between 2012 and 2016, a total of 22 tenders were passed, which came into dispute and 14 of these 22 tenders were passed when the mining ministry was with Akhilesh Yadav. While the rest of the cases are reported to be of Gayatri Prajapati's tenure.
