BJP's Uttar Pradesh legislature party will formally elect Chief Minister-designate Yogi Adityanath as its leader in a meeting on March 24, a day before his swearing-in,  a senior party leader said.

Yogi Adityanath will be sworn in on March 25 at Ikana Stadium on Shaheed Path in Lucknow. A galaxy of senior BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP national president J.P. Nadda, and other Central Ministers, are anticipated to attend the major swearing-in ceremony.

"The date of the BJP legislature party meeting has yet to be determined. However, there is a chance that the meeting will take place on March 24 "On Sunday, a top U.P. B.JP leader said. As per [arty sources, "A meeting of the BJP MLAs was scheduled for March 21, but it appears to have been rescheduled for March 24."

 Adityanath will be the country's most populous and politically powerful state's Chief Minister for the second time in a row after guiding the BJP to a landslide victory in the recent elections. Union Home Minister Shah and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das have been appointed as observers and co-observers for the formation of the government in Uttar Pradesh, respectively.
