Lucknow: The issue of recruitment of 69,000 assistant teachers in Uttar Pradesh is gaining momentum. In fact, the candidates here are seen protesting continuously alleging irregularities. Police have now resorted to baton charges on candidates who were taking out candle marches to protest in Lucknow today. There has been a stir in the political corridors after the matter came to light. The Samajwadi Party recently posted a video of the baton charge on Twitter. At the same time, MP Varun Gandhi today tweeted his grief in a video tweet.

He tweeted, "These children are also the son of Mother Bharati, far from being listened to, no one is willing to listen. On this also, these barbaric batons charge on them.
