Lucknow: Counting of votes for the four-phase three-tier Panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh has begun. 824 counting centers have been set up in 826 blocks and counting of votes is taking place here. Eight companies CRPF, two companies SSB, 10 company Central Security Force and 67 Company PAC have also been deployed here to ensure security in counting.

As per the information received, this time the victory procession will not be taken out after the results as it is a complete ban. Moreover, a strict curfew is being observed during the counting of votes today. The curfew is said to remain in force till Tuesday morning. Counting of up panchayat elections has started amidst strict curfew. 824 counting centers have been set up in 826 blocks in the state where the counting of votes has started.

On the other hand, some employees have been found absent at the counting center set up at Itiathok in Gonda and counting has not started so far. Reserve employees have been called here. With this, the counting of UP panchayat elections has started in 23 blocks of Prayagraj. Under the information received, 1,079 teams have been deployed on election duty and all the teams have 5 members each.
