Uttar Pradesh panchayat of a has decided to avoid or boycott the families of girls who allow their girls to wear jeans and tight clothes. village head's husband, Omveer told media "At a panchayat held in Bawli village, it has been decided that girls should not wear jeans and tight clothes.

If any girl wears such clothes, her family would be boycotted," The panchayat also asked villagers to pledge not to take or receive dowry and opposed playing of DJs in marriages.

It also came out against female foeticide. he said, Any family which does not agree to these decisions would be boycotted.
