UP Police arrests main accused in Bulandshahr violence case

Bulandshahr:  A Bajrang Dal leader, Yogesh Raj who is the main accused in Bulandshahr violence got arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police. In the Bulandshahr violence,  37 people have been arrested.

As per reports, Yogesh Raj was arrested from Khurja in Bulandshahr. The development comes a month after the incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr. While reports have been filed against 60 people, the police were on the lookout for Raj, who was on the run for about a month. A civilian also lost his life during the violence that broke out on December 3.

Uttar Pradesh police arrested Kalua on Monday who allegedly attacked inspector Subodh Kumar with an axe. The police had zeroed down upon him after scrutinising the videos that went viral in the aftermath of the violence. As per reports police also recovered an axe from him.

In December, Violence had broken out in Bulandshahr resulting in the death of a police officer Subodh Kumar. As per reports, Violence  broke out when a mob attacked the police alleging inaction over complaints of cow slaughter.
