Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh's Gonda district, Daroga has been accused of rape on the pretext of marriage. The victim alleged that the sub-inspector physically abused her for three years by calling himself Rinku Shukla and when the victim asked her to marry her, he started procrastinating on the pretext. A few days later, it was revealed that his real name was Wasi Ahmed.

Following the complaint of the victim, a case under serious sections has been registered against the sub-inspector. Additional Superintendent of Police said that a case has been registered against Wasi Ahmed at Nagar Kotwali under sections 420, 376 IPC and 3/5 sections of the Uttar Pradesh Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, 2021. Legal action is being taken in this case. The victim says that when she lodged a complaint with the police about the matter, three police vehicles came to her house and took her to the police station. At the same time, there was pressure to hush up the matter. The victim said she has made it clear that the accused should marry her or prepare to go to jail. The victim complained to the Additional Superintendent of Police and pleaded for justice.

The victim has stated in her complaint that she and Wasi Ahmed had an affair since 2019. He raped her under the pretext of marriage. He always promised that the two would get married after his sister's marriage. One day I caught him hanging out with another woman. A few days later, he found out what his real name was.
