UP Polls: Anti-BSP Forces Conspiracy Will Get Vitriolic: Mayawati

Lucknow: Prior to the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, BSP president Mayawati on Saturday, September 4, said that the 'anti-BSP forces' conspiracy will get lowly, vitriolic, and full of mischievous news, just like it is seen before every election.

Mayawati is set to address the final 'prabudh sammelan' in Lucknow on September 7.  On the media reports that state the outcome of the pre-poll survey showing an increase in 40 percent share in vote base of BJP, Mayawati said, "the BSP will not get afraid or lose confidence by the conspiracies of the BJP as BSP is strong enough in the state," adding that “as the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections will get closer, anti-BSP forces' conspiracy will reach low-level, vitriolic and full of mischievous news. Just like it is seen here before every election," she said while addressing a press conference in Lucknow. She also accused BJP of creating a "malicious environment" in the state.

She had tweeted, “Everyone is aware that forgetting everything of the past as also the anti-BSP and anti-Dalit decisions like reservation in promotions and bad law and order during the SP rule in 2012-2017, BSP adhered to the gathbandhan dharma with the Samajwadi Party in the interest of the country." Meanwhile, the political climate in Uttar Pradesh has heated up as the Legislative Assembly elections are due to be held next year in the state.
