Meerut: Criminals have become fearless in UP. Miscreant shot and murdered former BJP district president Sanjay Khokhar in Baghpat. The news of the murder has created a ruckus in the area. On the Tilwara road of Chaprauli police station area of Baghpat city, former BJP district president Sanjay Khokhar was shot dead. Sanjay Khokhar left the house for a morning walk.

Police have reached the spot as soon as information is received. Hundreds of villagers have gathered on the spot. Police have started the investigation by taking the corpse in possession. Chhaprauli resident Sanjay Khokhar was one of the old RSS workers. He was a teacher in junior high school in Kakor Kala village. On Tuesday morning, he left for Tilwara road for a morning walk. Nearly one and a half kilometres away near a farm he has been shot dead.

The nearby farmers rushed the spot but by then the attackers had escaped. Hundreds of people gathered after the sensational incident of murder. BJP workers also reached. The villagers have expressed anger over the increasing incidents. As soon as the information was received, ASP Anit Kumar and CO Alok Kumar reached the murder spot. Sanjay Khokhar was the district president of BJP in the 2017 assembly election. In addition to the central minister Sanjeev Balyan and sugarcane minister of the state Suresh Rana, he was also close to BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh.
