Lucknow:Winter vacation has been declared in primary and junior schools in Uttar Pradesh from 31st December to 14th January, 2022. According to a time and motion study order of the Department of Basic Education, this winter vacation is being given for the first time. Earlier, schools in various districts have been given holidays under the orders of the District Collector. The order will be applicable from class I to VIII.

Schools will not be able to force any student to come in view of the threat of new variant Omicron of corona virus. The children will first have to seek consent from their parents to send them to school. It will be mandatory for teachers, employees and students to wear masks. In this regard, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has issued guidelines on the order of Principal Secretary Secondary Education. The guideline will be applicable to schools on all boards in the state.

Council Secretary Divyakant Shukla has ordered divisional joint directors of education and DIOS to strictly implement it. According to the guidelines, schools will have to arrange online studies as an alternative. If anyone in the school has symptoms of cold, fever, etc., arrangements should be made to take him to his house with the advice of a doctor. Any event should be held only if it follows the rules of social distensing.
