Gonda: After the murder case of a priest in the Gonda city of Karauli in Rajasthan, another case is reported from Uttar Pradesh. Pandit Samrat Das of Ram Janaki temple in Gonda was shot dead on Saturday night. Doctors have referred him to Lucknow in an injured state. This incident is of Tirre Manorama under Itiathok police station. Prior to this, the priest was burnt alive in Karauli, while the case of the body of a monk was found in the river in Baghpat.

It is being told that criminals have entered the temple premises and shot Pandit. Mahant Samrat Das has been attacked due to a land dispute. It is being told that he has also been attacked earlier over land dispute. The criminals have shot the Pandit at the Ram Janaki temple, a place of captivating origin. According to the information, Ram Vilas is the patron of the Vedanti Math. The criminals entered the temple premises and shot the priest. Homeguards were deployed in the name of security.

Mahant Samrat Das's condition is said to be critical due to bullet. It is being told that the land of the temple was under the watch of land mafia. Mahant has been accused of assaulting several persons including Pradhan Amar Singh. Police officials are investigating the case. The police is investigating the attackers.
