Lucknow: Corona epidemic has greatly affected every section of the country. COVID-19 infection in UP is creating new records every day. In the last few days, COVID-19 has also knocked in state jails. In Jhansi city jail, there was chaos in the entire jail after 127 prisoners were found corona infected.

UP Chief Secretary Avnish Awasthi said in his statement on Tuesday that in cities where temporary jails have not been built yet, they will be constructed as soon as possible. The new prisoners will be kept in these temporary jails." He said that antigen investigation will be done before placing new prisoners in temporary jails. Those people who will report positive COVID-19 in the investigation will be admitted to L-1 COVID Hospital for treatment.

3490 were found infected in the state on Tuesday. Now the number of active positive patients has increased to 27934. While 44520 people have been discharged. The number of people who died of infection has been 1497. So far, a total of 74083 COVID-19 positive patients have been found in the state. Additional Chief Secretary and Home Avnish Awasthi further informed that 91830 samples were tested in the state on Monday. Now 2033089 sample tests have been done in the state.
