Lucknow: Wildlife sanctuaries were opened to tourists earlier this month in UP and tourist movement started increasing here, but the result is not the same. Something similar happened with tourism department officials. It also thought that its thinking remained a dream.
Forest officials say, "Sanctuaries are coming down due to Covid ban. People over 65, pregnant women, people with more than one disease and children below 10 years are not excluded due to Covid ban." While continuing his talk, a DTR official said, "Dudhwa Tiger Reserve was basically family members who used to visit. Now people cannot leave their child and come for holiday. Children were the most joyous here. They were happy to see wild animals.
On the first 15 days of this year's season, the UP Forest Corporation recorded only 191 visitors. Of these, 130 belonged to Dudhwa National Park. During this period, the department received a total amount of 6 lakhs. Of which 4 lakh Dudhwa, 1.9 lakh in Katarniaghat and Rs 28,000 in Pilibhit.
