LUCKNOW: Suresh Kumar Khanna, the finance minister of Uttar Pradesh, introduced the state assembly's first budget of Yogi Adityanath's second term government on Thursday. "The state's economy is quickly improving. We are certain that we will be able to grow the state's GDP to one trillion dollars "While presenting the budget, Khanna announced.

Khanna, who is seated next to the chief minister, announced that a budget of Rs 276.66 crore has been recommended for the Uttar Pradesh special security force, which is responsible for the security of courts, historical and religious sites such as Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura.

He said, the second phase of the 112 plan would begin this year, and an allocation of Rs 730.88 crore is recommended for its strengthening. For the fiscal year 2021-22, the Adityanath government presented a budget of Rs 5,50,270.78 crore.

The budget includes the following key takeaways:-

Increasing the amount of money available to help the state of Uttar Pradesh's economy.

The budget will prioritise women, youth, and farmers.

The state government will have to pay an additional Rs 1800 crore per year to provide free power to farmers for irrigation. The budget is also likely to include an announcement to ensure a minimum price for commodities such as tomato.

In the budget, the Irrigation Department is likely to get more than Rs 20,000 crore. 

The budget will be highlighted by Chief Minister Krishi Sinchai Yojana. All small and marginal farms will be eligible for funding to build borewells, tube wells, ponds, and tanks under this programme.

The Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana's financial support would be enhanced from 15 to 25 thousand rupees.
Free public transportation (bus) travel for women over 60, increased pensions for widows and needy women, and meritorious girl students.

There are also discussions on establishing provisions in the budget for resolutions such as the Rani Laxmibai scheme's free scooty distribution.

Establishment of an Anti-Corruption Organization Unit in each of the state's divisions.
