Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh, the country's largest state, has the results of the Zilla Panchayat President. The BJP has managed to win 67 out of 75 seats. On such a big victory, state CM Yogi Adityanath says that even in cities where the farmers' movement has strong roots, the BJP has won, which shows that the people are with us. He said the same results will be out in 2022.
When asked if the impact of the Kisan movement was visible in the Panchayat elections, how did he register such a big victory in the election of the district president? On this, Yogi Adityanath said, "If you see in panchayat elections, most of the gram pradhan BJP workers have won. BJP workers are won by members of the Kshetra Panchayat. Out of 3,050 Zilla panchayat seats, more than 1500 were BJP workers and BJP supporters. The SP was around 750. The BSP had around 300 and the rest were from the other party.''
Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Sambhal, Amroha, Baghpat, Moradabad, Hapur, Ghaziabad were the focal points of the farmers' movement, he said. BJP has won all the seats except Baghpat. If we were not supported, we would not have got candidates like the SP and we would not have got the movers. Further, Chief Minister Yogi said, "In 2014, no one believed that the BJP would win so many seats. Amit Shah had chalked out a strategy at that time. We won 73 seats.''
