The nameplate 'Twinner' has been trademarked by Bajaj Auto. While there is no direct indication of what the firm has in mind, it is working on a number of premium items as part of its new partnership with Triumph Motorcycles as it prepares to enter the mid-displacement premium motorcycle sector.

Although there is no official report to back this assertion, the new Twinner name may be used for a luxury twin-cylinder motorbike. The trademark application shows that the term was suggested solely for bikes and scooters, as the certificate makes no mention of electric vehicles.

It goes without saying that its partnership with KTM has been profitable for both sides, as KTM motorcycles have grown in popularity in the country.
