In Varanasi, a bolt of lightning struck atop the Mandhateshwar Mahadev temple under the Chowk police station area on Tuesday last year and its peak was broken and it fell down. As per the information received, this temple is behind the idol of Bharat Mata on the premises of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. It is being told that fire on Tuesday at 5:30 pm, the lightning struck the temple with a loud noise, after which its peak broke and fell inside the temple.

 

On the other hand, the pandit of the temple said that at 5:30 p.m., lightning was shining from the sky with heavy rain, after Mahadev's makeup, preparations were made for his aarti. However, when the peak fell down, it was a good coincidence that no one was hurt. The stone piece of the spire in the temple complex was damaged by lightning all around and fell.

Let us tell you that the Kalash of the peak of Madhateshwar Mahadev Temple located near the statue of Bharat Mata in the Kashi Vishwanath Dham complex was damaged due to lightning during heavy rain last Tuesday... At the same time, the damaged piece of the Kalash of the peak was immediately removed by the temple administration. It is also being told that the devotees were not present around the temple during the celestial lightning and now the repair work of this peak will be done immediately.
