Titled as Beelaika, the upcoming film is directed by Asad Sivaraman. The film's first look poster featuring Biju Sopanam, Nisha Sarang and a dog has been released online. Laika is the name of the dog that became the first animal to orbit the Earth. The first look poster has been unveiled by Mammootty through his social media handle.

In Laika's film, it is told that the film revolves around the story of a mechanic in the Space Research Organization. Apart from Biju Sopanam and Nisha, the film may have Nasser, Baiju Santosh, Sudesh, Vigilesh, Nobe, Praveena, Aristo Suresh, Sibi Thomas, Somulekshmi, Roshni, Nandana Verma, and many other important roles. The shooting is wrapped up by a state award-winning director.
