Lucknow: In 12 months, 12 big investment projects will provide employment to 1.2 lakh people of Uttar Pradesh. The foundation stone for these projects will be laid next month at the third ground breaking ceremony to be held in Lucknow on June 3. They are expected to be completed in a year. The reason for this is that this time the foundation stone of only those projects which can arrange land will be laid.
The effort of the Industrial Development Department is to lay the foundation stones of 1500 projects worth 75 thousand crores, but only those projects will be included in the ground breaking ceremony, in which along with getting the land, other NOCs and formalities have been completed by the government. The aim is that these projects can be completed and inaugurated soon. More than one lakh twenty thousand people will get employment through at least dozen projects in a year.
UPCIDA has provided land for eight warehouse projects with an investment of Rs 462 crore. Of these, five are in Lucknow and one in Unnao. 200 crore is being spent for flatted factory complexes in Kanpur, Agra and Gorakhpur. Their foundation stone will be laid. Now six more factories of ready-made garments, hosiery are going to open in Uttar Pradesh, which is making its inroads in the textile industry. By this year production will start in them. Through this, about 1500 thousand artisans and laborers will get employment.
