The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has decided to postpone the civil service preliminary examination until further notice. Let us also tell you that this examination was scheduled to be held on May 31, but according to the UPSC officials, now the new date of examination will be announced after the assessment of the positions till May 20. Indeed, a meeting of the Commission under the chairmanship of Arvind Saxena took place today i.e. on Monday in which senior officers of the UPSC have decided to postpone the examination.

According to the information received, this decision has come after the central government extended the lockdown for two weeks starting May 4. At the same time, UPSC says that in view of the ever-increasing influence of Kovid 19, Aayag has taken this decision. It is not possible to conduct such a large-scale examination in view of the way the lockdown has been extended for the third time. This is especially difficult in the red or orange zone. Along with this, the official also informed that no new changes have been made for the prelims. The only change has been that after evaluating the situation, a date will be set at a certain time.

At the same time, another UPSC official has said that after May 20, a new date for an examination will be announced. Let us tell you that during the lockdown many examination sites were converted into quarantine centers and it was very difficult for the students to reach there. For this reason, the Commission has taken this decision keeping all these problems in mind.
