New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission, (UPSC) Civil Services 2020 Preliminary Examination is going to be held on October 4, 2020. In such a situation, cases of COVID-19 in the country are also increasing day by day. In view of these, the Advocate of the Supreme Court, Alakh Alok Srivastava has written a letter to the Chairman of the UPSC, requesting to postpone the examination. Yes, recently he has written a letter. In this letter, he told about the increasing number of COVID-19 and said, 'Now there are 69000 COVID-19 cases coming in 24 hours. At the same time, many of the candidates who applied for the UPSC preliminary examination are currently working as COVID warriors.'

Apart from this, he wrote, 'There is a flood situation in many parts of the country. In such a situation, how will the candidates there take part in the examination? This situation is serious. Which should be considered.' Now keeping this in mind, Advocate Alakh has asked to postpone the examinations as a representative of the UPSC Civil Service candidates. He wrote his letter to the chairman of UPSC on 20 August.
