The best means to become a part of the country's administrative system is the Indian Administrative Service. It is known by all that that for this, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC - Union Public Service Commission) conducts examination every year. Every year lakhs of candidates from all over the country also appear in these examinations.

But do you know what kind of training these officers who have to sit in important positions in the country have to go through? It is not enough for them to be successful in UPSC exam only. Rather, it also faces rigorous training. How is the training of these IAS officers, read in the following slides. IAS officers are entrusted with the responsibility of very important positions in the central and state governments. An IAS officer can reach the rank of Chief Secretary in the state and cabinet secretary in the central government.

The minimum age to become an IAS officer is 21 years and the maximum age is 32 years.
At the same time, relaxation of five years has been given for SC and ST and three years for OBC in the age limit. To become an IAS officer, the preliminary examination, the main examination and then the interview are the three important stages. When these three stops are completed then the training phase begins.
The candidate is first taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Administrative Academy (LBSNAA). Where training is imparted by senior instructing officers.

First stage-
In the first phase rigorous training is given. This is because of all the challenges faced while doing the job and enabling them to do their tasks. District training comes under this. Read what happens under this training.

Winter Study Tour-
India is made visible through the tour, so that the trainees can get to know the rich cultural diversity of their country closely. This is the first tour. In addition, they undergo a week's training through the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies. This training is done to understand the parliamentary system in India. It is also covered to introduce the trainees to the President of India, the Vice President, the Prime Minister and other personalities.

Second stage-
Now comes the second phase Academic Module. Under this, detailed information is given about policy making, law and order, agricultural land management and infrastructure, public and private partnerships etc. Which is very important for an officer to learn.
The vision and work of administration and IAS are taught in this stage. Also, soft skills and project evaluation etc. are explained.

Every evening many cultural activities including sports are organized for the candidates who are undergoing training. You can also take part in horse riding. Outdoor activities such as adventure sports, rock climbing, paragliding, river rafting, short tex etc. are more emphasized. Apart from this, trekking is also offered on the Greater Himalayas.
