The UP Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is being conducted today (Sunday) meaning 23rd January. Meanwhile, youth have started creating ruckus outside an exam centre in Noida. The candidates have also completely blocked the elevated road in Noida. Police reached the spot and are trying to convince the candidates. Candidates appearing for the UPTET examination claim that they were not given entry in Section 30 DPS-Exam Centre in Noida. "We have all the documents, but they want us to present the principal's signature," said one candidate. If the person concerned is in Allahabad, how to sign."

"Those who did not have valid documents have not been cleared," said The same Noida ADCP Ranvijay Singh. For document verification, their mark sheet should be signed by either principal or concerned officer. However, many persons have not been admitted as their documents are not verified."

The first shift exam of the UP Teacher Eligibility Test will be held from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift exam will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. 12,91,627 candidates are to appear for primary level in the first shift and 8,73,552 candidates for the upper primary level examination in the second shift. No electronic device including mobile phones is allowed to be carried along at the exam centre. Earlier, the UPTET examination was scheduled to be held on 28th November 2021 which was cancelled due to a paper leak incident. Thereafter, after strong opposition from the students, the administration issued a new date for the examination. The examination centres were retrenched and centres with a poor image were removed from the list.
