The examination of UPTET (UP Teacher Eligibility Test) conducted by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council (UP Basic Shiksha) has been cancelled. The examination will be conducted again within a month without charging any fee from the candidates. STF is investigating the entire case. The candidates will not have to pay the fee again. This time 21 lakh 65 thousand candidates had applied in UP-TET. '

On the other hand, ADG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar and ACS Basic Education Deepak Kumar say, "4 people have been apprehended from Lucknow, 3 from Meerut, 2 from Varanasi and Gorakhpur, one from Kaushambi, 13 from Prayagraj. Apart from UP, people from Bihar are also involved.''
