Mumbai: Congress and NCP leaders continue to join BJP and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra before Maharashtra assembly elections 2019. Now sources are quoting that the film actress Urmila Matondkar, who is contesting on the Congress ticket in the Lok Sabha elections 2019, is also going join Shiv Sena. However, it has not been officially confirmed yet.
It is being told that Urmila, who recently broke ties with the Congress party, has met PA Milind Narvekar of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray. It is being told that it was a courtesy call, but this meeting that took place before the Maharashtra Assembly elections is being seen as Urmila's next political move. It is noteworthy that Urmila resigned from the Congress on 10 September. Urmila had contested on the Congress ticket from the North Mumbai seat in the Lok Sabha elections in 2019 and lost.
For his defeat, he accused some leaders of the Congress only for the furore. He had also written a complaint letter to the party about this. But Urmila's accusation was that some Congress leaders had leaked her letter to the media.
