Referring to IIT graduates as 'Committed,' Krishnamoorthi praised their dedication to research, innovation, trade promotion, and fostering international cooperation between India and the US.

Recent data from the US Embassy and Consulates revealed a 35% increase in the number of international students from India to the US, reaching an all-time high of 268,923 students in the academic year 2022-23. Indian students now make up over 25% of the one million-plus foreign students studying in the United States.
In a noteworthy development, India surpassed China to become the largest source of international graduate students in the United States for the first time since 2009/10. The number of Indian graduate students witnessed a remarkable 63% rise to 165,936 students, an increase of nearly 64,000 students compared to 2022. Additionally, Indian undergraduate students increased by 16%.
