Washington: Coronavirus has gripped the world today. So far, all attempts to get out of the clutches of this deadly infection have failed. According to Johns Hopkins University in the United States, up to 16 million infection cases are being reported worldwide till Monday. Due to which the death toll has crossed 6 lakh.

According to the latest data released by the University's Center for Science and Engineering (CSSE), as of Monday morning, more than 16.48 million people have been infected with the virus. 

America remains in the first position: In all the countries of the world, the highest number of cases are coming from America. So far, the total cases of infection have gone up to 37 lakh 68 thousand 55 and the number of deaths has reached more than 1 lakh 40 thousand. Brazil has the second-highest number of infected cases and 79 thousand 788 deaths across 20 lakh 98 thousand, while the number of infected people has so far exceeded 10 lakh 77 thousand in third place.
