Washington: Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden surpassed Trump in TV viewership ratings from duelling town halls' town hall. According to the latest data, Biden's town hall on ABC News got 14.1 million viewers beating the ratings for Trump's town hall on NBC News.
Accordih to the report of Xinhua news agency the data from Nielsen Media Research on Friday revealed that President Trump's townhall aired across NBC and its sibling cable channels of MSNBC and CNBC in the same hour, drew 13.5 million viewers altogether. A CNN report that It was "a result virtually no one in the TV business expected".
Earlier, it had been widely expected that Donald Trump would score a higher Nielsen rating, an estimate of the total number of viewers for a particular television program since Biden's town hall only aired on ABC but the Trump also appeared on NBC's sibling cable channels. Let us tell you that Nielsen's ratings include viewership on broadcast and cable channels that aired each town hall (ABC for Biden and NBC, MSNBC and CNBC for Trump), as well as viewership of those channels on TV connected with internet and out-of-home viewership. The Nielsen ratings only measure viewership on TV sets. People are eagerly awaiting for a final presidential debate which is scheduled for October 22 in Nashville, Tennessee.
