UNITED STATES: Several US government websites experienced temporary crashes on March 7, coinciding with President Joe Biden's State of the Union address to Congress. According to Reuters, the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed the incident, stating that the problem affecting its website and associated domains had been resolved.
Among the affected websites were those belonging to DHS, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the Secret Service.
A DHS official informed Reuters that there was no evidence of any malicious activity causing the outage.
The major government websites that reported outages included Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Secret Service, and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
