Current winner Bianca Andriscu has withdrawn her name from the US Open Grand Slam tournament. Bianca Andrescu became the champion after defeating 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams in the final of the 2019 US Open.

Champion Bianca Andrescue has confirmed on Twitter that she is not participating in the US Open. Bianca said that after much discussion with her friends, she has taken this decision. Bianca Andrescu believes that her preparedness has been affected by Corona infection. She said that she will start preparing for her return to the big level for the next year after taking full care of her fitness.

World No. 6 Bianca was injured in the last year in Shenzhen, China. Bianca started the previous year with a rank of 178. She won 48 matches and suffered defeat in 7 matches. She had won the US Open as well as the Indian Wells and Toronto Open.
